Your application will be reviewed in the order it was received. Please allow five business days for your application be processed. Please keep in mind we are all volunteers and occasionally this timeframe may take longer if we are inundated with applications. Please note, we receive many applications for each animal in our care and take the time to review each of these to understand if they are a match based on the animal's needs. If your application does not meet the needs of the animal or our requirements for adoption we may choose not to move forward with your application for adoption. In some cases we may not be able to respond at all if we are inundated with applications.

• We require our adopters to be 18 years or older.
• Applicant must have a valid ID and proof of residency.
• A background check will be run on all adults in the home. We will not adopt to anyone with a violent criminal history or any history of animal abuse or neglect.
• Applicant must participate with adoption process including meet and greets.              A home visit is mandatory.
• We require a meet and greet with existing animals in the home.
• We require three personal references and a vet reference.
• All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and kept up-to-date on vaccinations.  We ENCOURAGE our adopters to keep their animals on preventatives.

Our modest adoption fees help cover the cost of medical care for our animals.  Our adoption fees vary from animal to animal. Please see individual listing for adoption fee. 

We will adopt out of state for an additional fee of $200 for additional state requirements. We do require adopters to physically come and do the meet and greet in person. We do NOT do blind adoptions.

All of our animals will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, Heartworm tested if age appropriate, Dewormed or fecal tested, and kept on preventatives.
