We are committed to getting our adoptions right the first time. Please be honest with our adoption counselors to ensure that we are setting you up for success.
Keep in mind that any pet that you are considering making part of your family is transitioning from the place that he/she called home.
This transition is a very stressful time for any animal. They are in unfamiliar surroundings with people that they do not know. Some animals adjust very quickly. For some, it might take much longer to adjust to their new surroundings.
In any case, we are looking for people who are willing to make a lifelong commitment to our animals.
Please consider adoption very carefully, and consider the financial expense of pet ownership.
Be sure to talk it over with every member of your family. A surprise pet does not make a good gift. Your new pet can be a 10+ year commitment so make sure that every member of the family is prepared to make such a commitment.
Your application will be reviewed in the order it was received. Please allow 24-48 hours for it to be processed. Please keep in mind we are all volunteers and occasionally this timeframe may take longer if we are inundated with applications. Please note, we receive many applications for each animal in our care and take the time to review each of these to understand if they are a match based on the animal's needs. If your application does not meet the needs of the animal or our requirements for adoption we may choose not to move forward with your application for adoption.
Our modest adoption fees help cover the cost of medical care for our animals. Our adoption fees vary from animal to animal. Please see individual listing for adoption fee.
We will adopt out of state for an additional fee of $100 for additonal state requirements.
All of our animals will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations (Bordetella, Distemper+Lepto, Rabies), 4dx Tested, Dewormed or fecal tested, and kept on preventatives.
